Now in beta ยท Built by caregivers, for caregivers

You're doing everything right.
And things are still falling through the cracks.

Managing complex medical care at home isn't a personal failing. It's a systems problem - and no one ever built the right system. Until now.

You're doing everything right

And it still feels like you're falling behind.

You show up. You track every med, every appointment, every change. You carry the whole system in your head - because no one ever handed you a better one.

Whether you're caring for a medically fragile child, supporting a young adult with autism or disability toward independence, or helping an aging parent - the tools you've been handed are paper, memory, and good intentions. It isn't enough.

Our story

This started with our son.

Our son is our Pretzel Warrior - a medically complex child who came into this world and immediately made us into better people. He has brought us more joy, more purpose, and more love than we knew was possible. He is our beautiful beacon of light.

He also came with a navy-seal-level commitment and a learning curve nobody prepares you for.

"For months we had no nursing help at all. When we finally got approved for care, it was 40 hours a week - despite the fact that he was choking to death literally every two minutes. I would go to the bathroom and come back to find him turning blue."

With three other children clamoring for attention, I'd spend hours hammering my sleep-deprived brain into building a medication schedule - only to make an error I wouldn't catch until it was done. I stayed up late trying to make sense of the paperwork, then drove my kids to school the next morning so exhausted I was a danger to everyone in the car.

These precious souls deserve better than a system held together by sheer love and zero sleep. So do the people who care for them.

We looked for something that could help.
It didn't exist.
So we built it.

The reality

Complex care wasn't designed to be managed by humans alone.

Home care patients experience a medication error annually - missed doses, wrong timing, running out. It's not carelessness. It's an impossible system.

Communication breakdown between caregivers is the single leading cause of adverse events in home care - including medication errors, missed treatments, and hospitalizations.

The problem isn't the caregiver. It's the absence of the right infrastructure - and no one ever built it - until now.

The app

Here's what that looks like.

Every feature exists because someone lived the problem first.

Stage 1

Miss nothing

Push notifications for medications, position changes, and emergencies - so the right person is always reached at the right time. But also the things nobody warns you about: a reminder to change the G-tube every quarter, to check if your child needs a trach upsize based on growth and symptoms, to replace the humidifier bowl, clean the ventilator filter, check the oxygen tank pressure, or service the feeding pump. The details that slip - don't.

Stage 1

Organize your day

Every medication, feed, therapy session, and position change in one timeline - color-coded, trackable, and visible to your whole care team in real time. Not a to-do list. A living care record that everyone works from.

Stage 2

Never run out

Smart inventory tracking for medications, trach supplies, formula, and equipment - with alerts that warn you before you're scrambling. When supplies run low, you'll get a reminder, the contact to call, and a draft email ready to send. Not after the crisis. Before it.

Stage 2

Your team, always in the loop

Every nurse arriving for their shift automatically receives a summary of major events, changes, and things to watch since they were last there - no phone calls, no binders, no gaps. Your loved one gets continuity of care that most hospitals can't match.

Coming - Stage 3

Your AI sees what you can't

After months of charting, your private AI surfaces patterns - "SpO2 consistently drops during afternoon feeds," "weight plateauing despite increased calories." Correlations across vitals, schedules, and care events that no human can track manually. Flagged, documented, and ready for your medical team.

Coming - Stage 3

Walk in armed. Walk out with answers.

Before every specialist visit, your AI summarizes the data most relevant to that doctor and prepares the questions worth asking. During the appointment, record and transcribe the conversation. Afterward, chat with Pretzel AI to make sense of everything they said - the notes, the terms, the next steps. Your AI is your sounding board, your translator, and your advocate. "Let's wait and see" ends here.

โญ Coming - Stage 4

Turn the paperwork pile into a plan

Photograph or scan any bill, insurance statement, denial letter, or Medicaid notice. Your AI reads it, organizes everything into a private searchable database, generates a prioritized task list, and helps you find additional resources based on your state, insurance provider, and diagnosis. Stay on top of the convoluted mess. Find what you're entitled to. Never miss a deadline again.

The roadmap

We're just getting started.

Stages 1 and 2 bring order to the chaos. What comes next transforms how caregivers, care teams, and institutions operate - addressing the pain points that currently have no solution at all.

Stage 3 - Foresight ยท Subscription

AI that knows your loved one

A private AI trained on months of your care data - surfacing patterns your team might miss, preparing specialist-specific questions before every appointment, transcribing visits, interpreting medical notes in plain language, and suggesting care plan updates for your review. Fully encrypted. Your data never leaves your account. Never used for training.

Stage 4 - Administrator ยท Subscription

The case manager you can't afford

AI scans your bills, flags denials, auto-drafts appeal letters from your care history, tracks insurance caps before they lapse, navigates Medicaid applications, manages DD funding, and tells you exactly what needs attention - with talking points for the call and a draft for the letter. School advocacy and IEP management included.

All stages

Family visibility into facility care

When a loved one is in a nursing home or long-term care facility, families deserve to know what's happening. Pretzel Assistant gives families real-time visibility into care schedules, task completion, and daily notes - and gives facilities a documented, transparent record that builds trust and reduces conflict.

For nursing agencies & long-term care facilities

The competitive edge the industry has been waiting for.

Nursing agencies and care facilities that adopt Pretzel Assistant gain Medicaid-compliant documentation, lower incident rates, fewer hospital readmissions, and families who trust them more - because they can see what's happening in real time. The data is clear on what better coordination delivers.

Patients discharged to a skilled nursing facility are readmitted within 30 days - two-thirds of those readmissions are preventable with better coordination.
PMC / NCQA, peer-reviewed
$5B
Medicare spent on preventable SNF readmissions in 2018 alone. CMS now penalizes facilities with high rehospitalization rates - making coordination a financial imperative, not just a clinical one.
Government Accountability Office, 2021
35%
Reduction in inpatient admissions achieved through better home care coordination - alongside a 14% reduction in total medical costs per patient.
Home and Community-Based Services research
Nursing agencies
Medicaid-compliant charting, shift documentation, supervisor oversight, audit trail, and lower incident rates - a genuine competitive differentiator.
Long-term care facilities
Real-time family visibility, standardized handoffs, and documented care coordination that reduces readmissions and CMS penalties.
Families of residents
Transparent access to care schedules and daily notes - so families who can't visit every day still know what's happening.

The medication tracking alone would have saved us from three separate crises in the last year. I can't believe this didn't exist before.

As a home health nurse managing multiple patients, the shift handoff notes are a game changer. I know exactly what I'm walking into before I even open the door.

I've used three different apps trying to manage my daughter's care. None of them understood what this life actually looks like. This one does.
